Author Visit

An author visit is an excellent way to have a published, Canadian author present a motivational and engaging lesson to your students. Sara de Waard focuses her grade/age level presentations on The Writer's Journey and how it can help with mental health. Alternatively, she can present a lesson on improvisation and how Dramatic Arts can benefit the skill of creative writing.

Author visits are $300 per visit and are offered virtually or in-person at this time (depending on distance to author). For schools that require financial support, the Ontario Arts Council and the Writer's Union of Canada can offer full subsidy but applications are closed until the fall.
